Call for interest in Western Sydney Airport operations planning

01 June 2018

WSA Co has invited registrations of interest to develop a masterplan for Western Sydney Airport’s operations.

Chief Executive Officer, Graham Millett, said WSA Co is undertaking a global search for airport planning services, an essential first step in ensuring world-class operations for passengers, airlines and freight operators when the airport opens in 2026.

“Airport operations are extremely complex and early planning on functionality and logistics will be essential to Western Sydney Airport’s success from the first day of service,” Mr Millett said.

“This is an opportunity for a suitably-experienced organisation to be a key partner in planning an airport that will get the most out of digital technology to streamline our customers’ experience.

“The successful tenderer will assist us in developing a pioneering, globally-recognised aviation masterplan for Western Sydney Airport and its landside development.”

The scope of work includes:

  • Developing concepts of operations for the airport
  • Forecasting and modelling demand
  • Master planning and operational design for the airport, including terminal, airfield and landside areas.

Registrations of interest close on Monday 2 July.

WSA Co expects to award the tender for airport planning services in coming months.
