Tailored for school leavers, career changers, and current workers seeking formal aviation credentials, the Introduction to Aviation Operations Micro-credential will enable graduates to earn a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment aligned with the Certificate I in Aviation and learn job-ready skills for roles like ramp operations, ground handling, and security screening.

Aviation Skills a Key Focus in Western Sydney – Vocational Innovation Centre

Great news for high school students interested in aviation! The Certificate I in Aviation and Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations is available at the Vocational Innovation Centre (VIC), Seven Hills High School which is a collaboration between the NSW Department of Education, TAFE NSW and the VIC, with support from WSI subject matter experts.

Students from Western Sydney embarked on their own skill-building journey and will gain fundamental aviation skills and knowledge, as well as a nationally recognised qualification, paving the way for careers in the industry. The plan is to leverage a similar model across Western Sydney schools to support building skills ready for WSI’s 24/7 airport.
