At least 30 per cent of construction jobs will go to people who live in Western Sydney. This figure increases to at least 50 per cent of jobs when Western Sydney International Airport opens in 2026. We make sure at least 20 per cent of jobs are for apprentices, trainees and other learning workers. We’re proud to be exceeding each of these targets. Currently, nearly 50 percent of people working on Western Sydney International Airport are locals.
