What is a Sub Permit?

A Sub Permit is a specialised permit required for high-risk activities within the airport premises. These permits ensure that all work is conducted safely and in compliance with WSI regulations, standards and rules.

Examples of Sub Permits:

  • Isolation permit
  • Working at heights permit
  • Roof access permit
  • Hot works permit
How to Apply for a Sub Permit
  1. Identify the Need
    Determine if a sub permit is required during the planning phase or for emergency works.
  2. Complete the Sub Permit Request Form
    Provide detailed information and justifications for the work.
  3. Submit to the Permit Team
    The Permit Team will review the request for completeness and compliance.
  4. Issuing or Amendments
    If the form is completed, the sub permit will be issued. If amendments are needed, the request will be returned for revision.
  5. Execute and Close
    Once the work is completed, the sub permit is closed and documented.
